I don't understand.

Where do you try to upload an image?

And what does "upload through HTML" mean?
I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

And how do you do it now?
I do not see any issue by entering an image with the usual HTML tags

I do not see a screenshot.

If KCFinder doesn't work correct and you are a LimeSurvey customer, (as you say, you use the Cloud edition) ask the LimeSurvey support.

What happens when you click "upload" in your screenshot 12?

As you are a Limesurvey customer, contact their support.
Is your version the latest of the cloud versions?
Otherwise update first.

You see, we care mainly for the Community Edition with little insight in the Cloud Edition.

We are using lime survey cloud server
