Hi all,
Recently we have upgraded to version 3+, but after the upgrade now participants are able to fill multiple times the survey, even if the cookie setting is on.

To be sure the issue was related to the upgrade I currently have both version 2.72.6 e the 3.x on the same apache and connected to the same mysql and I can confirm that the same survey is blocked on 2.72 while it can be filled infinitely on 3.x. I specify 3.x because I tried all the 3+ versions, including the latest 3.4.1.

Hope some one can tell me if it's a bug or I am missing something.

Regards,
Cesare.

Check the cookies in the browser. When you have more than one installation of LS on the same domain you might experience some issues. It can be a bug in LS 3.X.
It might be quicker to open a bugticket now.

I just pushed a fix for this. It will be available in 3.4.2 or later.

I applied your update directly to my local installation and it's working fine. Thanks a lot.

The setting seems to be buggy again. Version 3.15.1 (demo.limesurvey.org) seems to not set a cookie when setting "Cookie to prevent repeated participation" is activated.

It seems that setting cookie works as expected.
Tested it both on demo website and also on local installation.

If you can notice that it happens only in some special case, please write it in a bug report.

At least in 3.15.5 I got a cookie too. But quite possible that I did made a mistake when checking on demo.
Sorry for revitalizing this thread.
