I have created an anonymous survey. My problem is that I can't find how to eliminate the message that now automatically appears at the beginning of the survey :

"The record of your survey responses does not contain any identifying information about you, unless a specific survey question explicitly asked for it.

If you used an identifying token to access this survey, please rest assured that this token will not be stored together with your responses. It is managed in a separate database and will only be updated to indicate whether you did (or did not) complete this survey. There is no way of matching identification tokens with survey responses."

It is important to get rid of this, because we already have this information in our own welcome text which was approved by the ethical committee and our data officer. The automatic text is not approved, and it also clutters the display which is an important consideration for mobile phones. Also, we don't use tokens so we don't need the whole part about tokens.

Extend a core theme as described here and edit the privacy.twig file.

I find that showing the privacy message or not should be an option in Limesurvey.

In "privacy.twig" you may comment out this block:


And in the theme options you find this


I should try the second first. Only if it doesn't work adapt the twig file.

Yes, the second option seems to work. Just to clarify for others:

First you have to set "inherit everything" to "no". Only then you can see the option "Hide privacy info" and set it to "yes".

I mean : since it can be easily hidden in Theme option, it's not already included ?

IMO there is no question.

Raquel only explained more detailled how to hide this message in the theme options.
