Timing statistics in version 4 (4.1.6) was created by ccalmendra
Hello,
I am using version 4.1.6. I designed a survey which is set to save timings, displaying group-by-group, active and receiving responses.

When I export the responses, the field start and finish timestamps are filled alright. However, the "Group time" fields are empty. When I go in "Responses & statistics", there is no "Timing statistics" menu option. There is only "Statistics" which does not display timings.

I don't know if it should be there or not, since the LimeSurvey manual refers to the version 3 (LTS).

Has been this feature removed from version 4? Or it is just not yet integrated/implemented in the new version.

Thanks in advance,
Camilo.

Is your survey set to "anonymous"?

Hello Holch,

No, it is not anonymized. I can see in the exported .csv the 'Date start' and 'Date last action' timestamps for each response.

I just did a quick test in the demo here and the timings have not been saved or at least the fields are empty in the exported XLS file.

Please create a bug report. It might be fixed in the lasted version though. I did a quick search but I could not find any related bug report.

Ok, I'll report. Thank you.

Quick question: Which is the version recommended if we want to most possible stability: 3.21.6 (Public LTS) or 3.22.8 (latest LTS)?

What do you mean with "Public LTS" and "Latest LTS"?

Because the latest (publicly) released LTS is 3.22.8 ( www.limesurvey.org/about-limesurvey/download )

So I would always go with the latest LTS release.

The access to LTS versions is part of the subscription.
Public might indicate that no subscription is needed to download it.

I have no recommendation. You only can test and perhaps your surveys are not affected by bugs.

Even if you are not logged into Limesurvey.org, www.limesurvey.org/about-limesurvey/download still gives you 3.22.8 as the LTS download. So I assume that this is the one you are supposed to install and it seems to be available without any subscription.

I am not even sure how to get to the links you posted. How do you access them from the website?

As we all know, LimeSurvey UX concept is straight out of hell.

The topmenu of the downloadsection is available when you click the little icon "^".

Whaaaat? Never knew that existed! Never noticed it. Doesn't make any sense to display it the way it is. Anyway, thanks for letting me know.
