we're using Lime Survey for internal evaluation surveys. At the end, each manager can download the survey. The survey questions each worker's performance: so, a manager is able to evaluate more workers.

That said, at the end he can download the answers in PDF (not the queXML format, but printableexport=pdf aka printanswers). We spent some time on editing the printaswer PDF layout according to our needs: it has answer based colors and takes no more than 2 pages in total (so that we can print it on one A4 sheet).

What I'd like to know is if it's possible to export the answers using this PDF template even after the answer is registered.

What I mean is that:

• If we go to /admin and export a single answer in PDF, we're able to choose the fields we want in the PDF, but the template used isn't the same (which is a total nonsense to me)
• Same, the answers list allows to export in queXML, but not in the customized printanswer PDF template

Is there a way to do so? It seems a pretty basic need to me to keep that option in the admin section too...

I think Marcel Minke (Limesurvey partner) has developed a plugin that allows you to print an answer from the answer panel.

Also, in EncuestaBIZ we have developed a plugin that automatically generates a PDF file for a given response. You can configure a custom logo, some colors, footer and page numbering, among other features.
Maybe the plugin can be useful for you.
