Image Selection was created by kevinbednar
Hey all, I'm new to Limesurvey and have just installed the latest version 3 build. I'm trying to do something I THINK is simple but just cant figure out how to do it. I'd like to have a single question survey that displays lets say 6 images on the screen, each with a radio button beneath them and allow the survey taker to pick only 1 of them and then thats the end of the question, so people can vote for their favorite image basically. If someone could explain to me how to accomplish this it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Kevin

Did you try to add images to the answers?
That's way to do it.
Since LS 3.0 there is a question theme for that as well. That helps to polish the image selection.
The answertext is then the image source URL.
But first try the common way. Adding images via the HTML-Editor.

Not having much luck here. I can create a question group, then a question (lets say Which picture do you like) but there is no option in the question area to add any answers, only a default answer option and that doesn't look like what I need. I also can't find the area for the image_select question theme. I know I must be missing something obvious here but I can't seem to figure it out.

Unfortunately that button doesnt show up on my system here, only the edit default answers button. Not sure what to do. Maybe reinstall and see if that makes a difference?

Could you post a screenshot as Jelo requested?
What question type are you using?

Long free text has no answer options, thus you can't edit them. It will create a big text box, thats it.
I think you will have to start with the basics first. I would recommend to have a look at the question types available in the manual. Then you will understand much better, what question type you are looking for.

Ok, different question. Instead of using pictures on the survey participants are going to be shown a number of pictures, say 20, and be asked to write down the number of the one they like. They will then take the survey. I have created a very simple survey asking only name, email address and created a numeric input question for the number of the picture they like. My question is how can I get the results for most popular selection based on the number, like show 5 people selected number 10, 8 people selected number 6, etc. so I can derive which number was selected the most times to see the most popular selection? I've looked in the results area but none of it seems obvious on how to make this work.
