=Einleitung=

Sobald eine Umfrage zu komplex wird, empfiehlt es sich, eine Sicherungskopie Ihrer Arbeit zu erstellen. Es kann auch Situationen geben, in denen Sie die Umfrage exportieren müssen, damit Sie diese weiter in einer Tabellenkalkulationssoftware bearbeiten können. Oder Sie möchten die Umfrage ausdrucken und auf der Straße ausfüllen lassen und die Daten später über die Dateneingabefunktion hinzuzufügen.

Es gibt zwei Möglichkeiten, Ihre Umfrage zu exportieren. Die Schnellversion wurde in unserer Einführung zu [[Umfragen - Einführung # Umfragen exportieren |]] beschrieben.

Für weitere exportbezogene Funktionen muss der Exportvorgang innerhalb der Umfrage erfolgen. Nachdem Sie in ihre Umfrage viel Zeit und Arbeit investiert haben, sollte Sie von ihrer Umfrage ein Backup anlegen. Über den .lss Export können sie dies zu jedem beliebigen Zeitpunkt tun.

Hierbei werden in eine Standard .lss-Datei (welche im wesentlichen aus einem XML-Format besteht) alle Gruppen, Fragen, Antwortmöglichkeiten und Bedingungen ihrer Umfrage geschrieben. Diese können sie über die Import-Routine von LimeSurvey natürlich auch wieder einspielen. Diese Funktion eignet sich ebenso sehr gut, um eine Umfrage durch Export/Import zu kopieren.

Achtung: Diese Datei enthält '''nicht die Teilnehmer-Antworten ihrer Umfrage'''.

Sollten Sie außerdem eine Designvorlage für Ihre Umfrage angepasst haben, müssen Sie diese im Vorlageneditor separat exportieren. Eine Umfrage, welche eine angepasste Designvorlage nutzt, wird einwandfrei importiert, aber die Designvorlage wird fehlen. Öffnen Sie den Vorlageneditor auf dem Originalserver und exportieren Sie die Vorlage als ZIP-Datei. Importieren Sie dann diese auf dem neuen Server und dann sollte es klappen.

The difference is about the possibility this option gives to the survey administrators to edit the pdf before exporting it. Once the option is selected, the following default options will be loaded:

==Export tab-separated-values format (.txt)==

This feature is designed to make it easy to use Spreadsheet editors to author and edit surveys. It completely eliminates the dependence upon SGQA codes.

It also makes it easy to do bulk editing of your survey, such as find-replace, bulk-reordering, looping (repeating groups), and testing (such as temporarily disabling mandatory or validation criteria).

==Export printable survey (*.html)==

The questionnaire can also be exported in two printable formats. The first one gives you the possibility to download the .zip file containing the survey in all your [[General settings|selected languages]]. The .zip file contains the necessary stylesheets to put it up on any HTML-ready devices or browsers.

Please not that it will not contain any logic or [[Expression_Manager_-_quick_start_guide|EM-functionality]]! You'll have to take that into account yourself when designing/editing the questionnaire.

In comparison to the [[Display/Export survey#Export printable survey (*.html)|previous option]], all necessary styles will be loaded. Therefore, just press Ctrl/Cmd+p or select print from your browser menu to print the document. The questionnaire can also be exported in two printable formats. Also if you have made a specific template for your survey you have to export that separately. A survey which uses a custom template will import fine, but the template it refers to will not exist on the new server. The difference is about the possibility this option gives to the survey administrators to edit the pdf before exporting it. Once the option is selected, the following default options will be loaded:

It also makes it easy to do bulk editing of your survey, such as find-replace, bulk-reordering, looping (repeating groups), and testing (such as temporarily disabling mandatory or validation criteria).

The questionnaire can also be exported in two printable formats. The first one gives you the possibility to download the .zip file containing the survey in all your [[General settings|selected languages]]. The .zip file contains the necessary stylesheets to put it up on any HTML-ready devices or browsers.

Please not that it will not contain any logic or [[Expression_Manager_-_quick_start_guide|EM-functionality]]! You'll have to take that into account yourself when designing/editing the questionnaire.

A survey which uses a custom template will import fine, but the template it refers to will not exist on the new server. There could also be situations in which a certain you need to export the survey so that you can continue to edit it in a Spreadsheet software. Or, perhaps you would like to print it and walk throughout the city and ask random people to fill it out, adding them later via the [[Data entry|data entry function]].

There are two ways to export your survey. The quick version has been described in our introduction to [[Surveys - introduction#Export a survey|surveys]].
