Hi to all!

I'am experiencing an error (only for some surveys); when I try to assign permission to other users I catch the PHP error:

"Undefined variable: group_names" in the surveypermission.php module.

The problem happen for the some users account and only for some surveys. I have not actually any idea about how resolve this matter. Can someone help me fixing the problem??
Thanks in advance

I think it really doesn't make any sense to discuss versions that are not the latest version of their branch and are actually not supported anymore for a couple of years now. Your version is from May 2014. This is over 5 years old. The current stable version is LS 3 and between your version and this version there have been several major versions:
2.6.x LTS
2.7x
Now currently 3.x and 4.x is close to be released.

The latest version of what could be considered your branch of the software is Version 2.6.6-lts Build 171111, released 3,5 years after nur version.

I highly doubt that anyone will be able to help you with such an old and outdated version.

Are some surveys imported via file from other LimeSurvey installations?

Thanks a lot Denis!

suppose I must change the config.php ?

In the phpinfo() report I have all debug parameters OFF (with the exeption of report_zend_debug).

Maybe (I can't control now) the config.php section:
// 1 : looking for errors, 2 : PHP STRICT error messages
$config = 0;
is actually set on 2. Are you referring to this setting??

Thanks in advance
Have a nice day

Yes, since you use a very old version, not fixed versuion : you must deactivate debug mode
