What are the advantages of Version 3.15.5 over previous versions?

I see that all extensions are for previous versions and I need to use some of them.

I can find no way in Version 3.15.5 to easily export charts, but previous versions seem to have a more active developer community.

If I must stay with Version 3.15.5 what is the easiest and less stressful way to export charts so they look nice rather than the way they currently look in Version 3.15.5?

No, that is simply because 3.x has only been around for a year. Virtually all new forum threads are regarding 3.x and, as far as I know, almost no one is actively developing workarounds or plugins for older versions.
