You mean you are able to reproduce this, and it is therefore a bug? I don't want to clutter the bug tracker with wrong configuration issues.

You can your global settings/security for "Force HTTPS". You might change it to a different setting than now and see if it fixes the issue. I still wonder what the difference between No and Don't force is. The setting is called "Force HTTPS". So a No would mean No, don't force as well.

That was my approach in the old days. Since the release early, release often approach is implemented I see no chance than get issue signal early into the development process. The questions around the the systemconfiguration etc would have to be asked anyway.
