Hello,

i'm trying ton configure limesurvey 3.0.3 install on redhat linux 6.8 with Apache 2.4.25 to use LDAP authentification with AuthLDAP plugin.
i like to know what are the step to use it, do i need to install the mod_authz_ldap module ? i try to find it for Apache 2.4 but he does'nt seem to exist yet.

a little help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Stephane

Not a direct answer to your question, just wondering why you are trying to work something out with 3.0.3 if there is already 3.3.1 out there? Currently there are very frequent updates to get the version bug free as quickly as possible.

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

In the topic you mention AD. Do you mean ActiveDirectory with AD?

LimeSurvey need LDAP support via PHP. LDAP mods for Apache are not needed.

The codeplugin AuthLDAP code is using LDAPbind.
github.com/LimeSurvey/LimeSurvey/blob/ma...uthLDAP/AuthLDAP.php

See the comment section there as well.
secure.php.net/manual/en/function.ldap-bind.php

As long as PHP has LDAP support and ports are not blocked by a firewall you should be able to connect to a AD.

Hello jelo,

AD mean Active Directory.

i have done my test using only the bind option and it's work but when i'm trying to configure the search and bind to be able to create limesurvey user from AD account this part is not working.

when i try to create the user account from ldap it's giving me an invalid credential error not able to connect to ldap server.

Do you have any idea ?

regards,

Stephane
