Design Issues with the Ranking Question was created by jrivera
In a ranking question, the items are so long that they need to be in several lines. However, the system displays it in one line, so the questionnaire goes too wide. Example here: cibersomosaguas.net/img/pruebas/rankingchungo.html
I need to limit the width of the cage where the items are. How can I do it? Do I need to modify the template? How do I add a template?
thanks.

Hi,
You use an old and deprecated LimeSurvey version, now we use jquery-ui.sortable
See manual.limesurvey.org/Question_type_-_Ranking#Short_description

Sir, I don't think that is the issue. In the ranking question manual page you linked, it states clearly that is designed for short answers, such as the ones presented in the manual.
However, the problem is that it is not possible to edit the html. When I click the pencil to edit html it looks great, but then in the survey the html edition disappears. Maybe it can work editing the css or uploading a new template.
Unfortunately, I'm not in charge of the installation, so I can't really upgrade it.
thanks,
Javier.

You will not be able to achieve what you want with that old ranking type. It uses select elements so multiple lines and other markup is not available.
Try this old workaround - manual.limesurvey.org/Workarounds:_Manip...ag_and_Drop_Rankings
.
