How to use responses to prior CATI in actual LS-sruvey

Hi folks,

the project idea is: run a CATI (1st wave) and a CAWI (2nd wave/follow-up with a subgroup of the initial sample according to the answers in the 1st wave) with different questions, but CAWI questions and answer options referring to answers in the - somehow imported - CATI.
Example:
CATI: "What do you want to do after high school?" Participant answers: "I want to study."
CAWI follow-up: "In our first survey you said, you wanted to <preload answer CATI:> study. What are you doing right now?"

So ... my question is: How may I use/insert such preloaded data from prior surveys (NOT prior questions/answers in same survey and - due to CATI mode - not LS-administered prior surveys)?
May I import the CATI data (responses) via additional token fields? Are there any features being prepared?

Thanks for the attention

Yes, you can load these into custom attributes and use Expression Manager to pipe them into the survey .

Hi Tony,

is the number of additional token fields to any extent restricted?
There will be more data to be pre-loaded than just those of a few variables ...

Sorry, I don't know if there is a maximum allowed number of attributes.

Usually the restriction arises by your database. I think up to 100 fields should be fine, anyway you will have to try. As long as LimeSurvey manages to create the field itself it should work.

Hi c_schmitz,

what depends "As long as LimeSurvey manages to create the field itself" on? As long as the fields are ordered and delimited the same way as they are in the LS database, there shouldn't show up any obstacles, right?
