Email Adresses saved within 'Resume later' function was created by laocoon
Hello together,
when participants use the resume later function I can see their IP-adresses and Email-adresses via 'View saved but not submitted responses'. Is there a way to disable these fields, so I can guarantee total anonymity to these participants?
Thanks a lot in advance.

indeed, email would still be visible in database.
so maybe we should disable the email field in the "resume later" screen when survey is anonymized?

at least it would be "more" anonymized. or there would have to be a note which explicitly says that the email adress is stored. there is none in the german version, just a note saying you don't have to fill out the field

well, if you fill out the field, I guess you know this will be stored somewhere. Otherwise, why would you fill it in? I mean, how could someone think that the email they provided will not be stored???

well, if the survey is said to be anonymized, a participant could at least think that the email adress is not made visible for the person doing the survey

Volunteers are not paid.
Not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless

Hi,
please remember: the person who is doing the survey is responsible that he acts according the ESOMAR codex and in Germany the ADM rules.
And maybe you explained this in your private policy text: "email addresses are stored to be able to communicate", or similar.
If you want to clarify more just mention it at the welcome page.
Something like:
... Explanation how to stop and resume later ...
"If you enter an email address it will be stored to send you your entered credentials. If not, you have to keep them in mind."
(And then there is blocka's post, who asked how to reset the password because the participant forgot what he entered.)
Just some thoughts
Joffm
