confirm participant id number twice was created by Surveyteam7
Hello;
we are planning to run a survey and we need to make a double check the interviewer for writing the correct id number for the participant.
at the beginning of the survey we ask the interviewer to write the ID no. in the following page this questions appears one more time how can we set a condition to be sure that those 2 numbers written are the same.
Can anyone help?
Thanks.

Hi,
I would do it this way. Assuming that there are two questions asking for the ID number (ID1 and ID2) I would create third question (Text display type) on the next page that will be shown only when the two IDs do not match. To achieve it you could use relevance euqation in the thrid question, e.g. ID11!=ID2. I assume that an interterviwer can go back to correct the answers in ID1 and/or ID2.
Regards

Or, you could use an equation similar to Elzbieta's in the Question validation field of the second question.

Hi Tony,
We tried several versions however couldn't do it right.
As you know we basicly want to be sure that the number is exactly correct. here is attached lss file coud you please be so kind to show us what to write as a condition. because we tried ID1!=ID2 and it didn't work.

Two problems...
You placed the equation in the "Validation" field, it should be in the "Question validation equation" field - manual.limesurvey.org/Question_type_-_Nu...28em_validation_q.29 .
Your equation says "does not equal". It should be:
