to describe it in a nutshell: Is there a way to ask the participant to draw a simple house (⌂). So that there is a drawing area below the question to do so?

I know drawing is possible, as there are many JS libraries available, found also that article:

Need devlopement : a plugin can do it i think, but it's not trivial.

Indeed, you could ask to a LimeSurvey partner to develop it.
