Limesurvey generates wrong link to Font was created by duennerd
Hello everyone
I have a problem, where I get this error in my logs:
- 404 GET /survey/tmp/assets/22fc2892/font-src/Noto/NotoSans-Italic HTTP/1.0
So instead of NotoSans-Italic.ttf limesurvey tries to access NotoSans-Italic (whitout file extension).
Which fails and results in a IP ban, because limesurvey does it for every new page in a questionnaire and my host does IP ban for too much 404 errors.
I can copy the font-file in the folder and delete the file extension, that both files are present, but for an other person there will be the same problem. It's a cat and mouse game.
Does anyone have an idea, why limesurvey is behaving this way and how I can resolve it?
I have this version: Version 3.14.11+180926
As a template, we copied the fruity template, changed/added a logo and added a few custom.css in the correspondent file. (When I tried to look in the custom.css this morning I got banned myself due of 404 errors.)
Well I think they are 404 error. But I'm not 100% sure.

If you still have the issue, you can report a bug.

That is a very bad idea. I would change the provider, if it is really the 404 error which triggers a IP ban.duennerd wrote: Which fails and results in a IP ban, because limesurvey does it for every new page in a questionnaire and my host does IP ban for too much 404 errors.
The last release of LimeSurvey is 3.15.6+190108 . I recommend you install that version in a separate location and test your surveys. If you got no issues, update your main installation.duennerd wrote: Does anyone have an idea, why limesurvey is behaving this way and how I can resolve it?I have this version: Version 3.14.11+180926

I will do that for sure. But for now, we have a running questionnaire with links we already sent out.jelo wrote: That is a very bad idea. I would change the provider, if it is really the 404 error which triggers a IP ban.
I will try this.jelo wrote: I recommend you install that version in a separate location and test your surveys. If you got no issues, update your main installation.

thank you for reporting the issue. If you don't want to update your installation while runing a survey, you can fix it manually by editing the noto.css file:
github.com/LimeSurvey/LimeSurvey/blob/ma...s/fonts/noto.css#L20
github.com/LimeSurvey/LimeSurvey/blob/ma...s/fonts/noto.css#L20

Hi LouisGac
Thank you for your help. I decided to upgrad from Version 3.14.11 to 3.15.6.
I will see if I dont have any troubles.
It seems, that the version 3.1 is still a bit buggy.
I'm running into some issues and troubles.
Cheers Daniel

The bug fix was done two days ago.
github.com/LimeSurvey/LimeSurvey/commit/...5b9a4bd0d7246712e5cf
LS 3.15.6 was released nine days ago. So the fix isn't in that version you updated to.
