How to modify registration messages? was created by mfreund
How can I modify the messages on the registration page?

I have a survey where I am using public registration to allow respondents to nominate other respondents by putting their info in the registration form. However, I would like the language to reflect this, rather than a generic public registration message.

I looked in the template file for the registration page and saw the CSS for {REGISTERMESSAGE1} and {REGISTERMESSAGE2}. Where do I modify these messages? And is it a global change or can it be done on a survey-specific basis?

Thanks!

P.S. I'm still on v. 2.73.1+171220 in case it makes a difference. I plan to upgrade once this survey is complete.

You basically need to "translate" it. So have a look into Limesurvey translation.

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

To be a bit more detailled:

Yes, it makes a difference.

From www.limesurvey.org/forum/can-i-do-this-w...error-message#166104

1. Download the tranlation file (*.po) of your version here:
www.limesurvey.org/community/contribute/translations-status
2. Download and install poedit.exe
poedit.net/
3. After you edited your translation, save. You also will get an (*.mo) file
4. Upload this mo-file to the respective language folder "locale/[languageID]" of your LS installation .

That's all ;)
