I created a simple survey to collect feedback on online journal articles. The survey contains two questions: the name of the article, and a list (Yes, Maybe, No) with comments. The articles contain thumbs up/thumbs down icons that link to the survey.

I have been able to pre-fill the article name and the list using URLs similar to https://<survey_url>/newtest/Y?Q1=article%20name&Q2=A1. The Q2 value properly selects the right list item, but the 'A1' value is also entered into the comments field. Is there a way to suppress pre-filling the comment other than moving the comment to a third question?

How about using tokens and custom attributes to read in this information?

I have a look at Expression Manager but am none the wiser. Tokens seem to be associated with users - I have no control over who will do the survey.

If you need a urgent fix : use SGQA

Hi Denis, perfect! It took a while to figure out the SGQA syntax but I can confirm that switching to SGQA identifiers leaves the Comment field empty.

I just upgraded to 3.14.2 - the incorrect pre-filling of the Comments field is fixed.
