Hi,

I have implemented a survey in Spanish. Accented words like "Corazón" o "García" are converted to "CorazA³n" or "Garc!AA" after downloading results. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

cheers,

rg

what do you mean by 'after downloading results' ? What do you do with it?

I mean exactly that...I click on Responses & statistics, and then "Export results to application". I choose to export as CSV file. And the new file is full of those funny symbols instead of proper accents.

And how do you open the file?

I'm using Excel to open it...however, when I open the file in a simple text editor, I can see the accents are OK, so I figure the problem is related to the way I'm opening it

You need to tell Excel to open it with an UTF-8 charset. Usually this works by not just doubleclicking it but opening it from the Open dialog in Windows, not sure though. A quick google for 'open utf8 csv file Excel' should lead the way.
