Can't find URL of activated survey

Hi. I last used Limesurvey about 5 years ago and it seems to have come on a long way but also got a lot more complex. I have created and activated a survey using Version 2.05+ Build 140125. It is hosted on my own site, installed in the root directory. I would like the welcome page for this survey to appear at the root url for the domain (........org.uk/)

It is publicly accessible and doesn't use tokens.

My problem is that I now can't find the survey at all! It is not listed on the surveys available portal and I don't know where in the settings to change this.
I have been googling and RTFM for ages and am only appealing for help now before I start banging my head on the wall!

Any help or pointers in the right direction gratefully recieved.

It is not possible (and from what I know never was) to have the welcome screen of the survey directly in your root, because this is where the index screen listing the public survey resides.

The URL of your survey, you will find when you navigate to your survey within the admin panel. So when you select the respective survey from the dropdown menu, there appears a screen which has as the first item the title of the survey, and the next one is the Survey URL.

Hi,

List survey publicly: Yes/No. Default No. When it is set to yes, your survey will be listed in the 'available surveys' portal

manual.limesurvey.org/Creating_a_new_sur...n_.26_access_control

To redirect only root url to this survey: use .htaccess:
RewriteRule ^$ http://example.com/survey/index?surveyid=XXXX [R=301,L]

Thank for your help holch. There it was, staring me in the face!
I Still have nothing listed in the available surveys portal even though 'list survey publicly' is set to yes. Any ideas?

Thank you DenisChenu. It was a bit nervy for a newbie like me to edit .htaccess but your solution worked perfectly.Typing the root url into the browser address bar now takes users straight to the one public survey I want them to see. :)
