Password issue after migratie 1.92 to 2.0

I defined a new (local) install of version 2.0 (130929) and loaded a database from version 1.92 (120920). After loading localhost.myurl/admin the database got upgraded but login is impossible with any of the accounts.

When I use the right password, the system return with a login page, when I use a wrong password the system tells me the password is wrong (obviously).

I have used the password reset method as described in another issue, but to no avail.
www.limesurvey.org/en/forum/installation...admin-password#91707

What setting do I need to change to get this new installation working?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Benoit,

thank you very much. I did try your suggested solution (before I wrote the forum topic), I even refer to it in my topic.

There are two issues with your solution:
  1. all my users are gone
  2. it did not work, same issue as before: when I try password "password" the login page reappears, when I try another password, I receive an error message saying the password is wrong

Isn't here a way of emptiing the main password and setting it again?

Hi Benoit,

thank you for the time you invest in this.

You refer to a solution that is focussed on a previous version.

I think you refer to code that has been transformed into:

elseif ($sStoredPassword !== hash('sha256', $this->password))
{
$this->errorCode = self::ERROR_PASSWORD_INVALID;
}

However, when I comment this part of the code (lines 59-63 in my version) the issue remains, only with every password I receive a new login screen where all fields to use are blank again.

In the topic you mention a reference was made to the PHP-version that is used. I use this on XAMPP with version PHP 5.4.19 and MYSQL 5.5.32.

I use Limesurvey build 130923

This is strange, after uncommenting the code I had just commented, it seemd to work. I am in now!

I really do not know what triggered this, maybe your karma...

Sometimes LS is like my old volvo 340: strangely broken but never died ;)
