I am facing the error on front-end:
Internal Server Error
CDbCommand failed to execute the SQL statement: SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 2006 MySQL server has gone away

An internal error occurred while the Web server was processing your request. Please contact the webmaster to report this problem.



Please guide me about this issue.

Not sure if this will help, but you might want to turn on full error messages by changing

'debug'=>0 to 'debug'=>2

in your .../application/config/config.php

This may give more information on exactly where the issue resides.

I did debug on but the error not showing, second i talk with my hosting server administrator he told me that your requesting/sending heavy queries that's why this error showing but again in after few hours the application running normal but if i use limesurvey 4,5 times at a time mean refresh the page 4,5 time in 5 minuts then it will show again internal server error.

Find a new hosting provider. If they limit your database calls and you experience problems when not even running the survey but only administering it, you will definately run into problems when you start running the survey.

Thanks for your reply, but i ask the hosting server for this issue they says you're requesting heavy queries to process. So it will a poor programing in application that cause this issue, So if i have to prove that your server is slow getting and have limit call back. so how it possible.

Always use the latest version, performance improvements are done at a regular basis. The error mysql has gone away is only encountered when mysql server is too busy too handle requests. Normally this happens on a shared hosting platform where other users host a very popular website where hundreds of users are active at the same time. So probably it is not even you, but one of the other applications or users on the same shared server.

Only solution is to get yourself decent hosting, or if they can identify what query is causing the trouble you can file a bugreport in our Bugtracker.
