Hi,

Getting a problem for the file upload question type. When clicking on upload files an error message appears
The requested URL /uploader.php was not found on this server.

It works fine when I use preview question group but not when I execute the survey. Anyone know whats wrong?

1. Which Limesurvey version do you use?

2. Please switch on debug mode by adding the following line to your config.php file:
$debug = '1';

Are there any additional errors reported on top of the page?

3. What did you set as $rooturl in config.php

4. Can you prepare a simple test survey, activate it and post the link here for testing?

Hello,

In config.php, what is your rooturl ?

I think you had to put:
$rooturl=" www.enkatfabriken.com/survey "
Oups, don't see precedent message. Can you update to 12170 please ?

a) Are there any kinds of redirects set up for Limesurvey? Because the path is wrong, the script is looking for
www.enkatfabriken.com/uploader.php?sid=21695& ...

while it should look at
www.enkatfabriken.com/surveys/uploader.php?sid=21695& ...

b) Can you attach the sample survey as .lss file?

c) You can test if this is fixed at the latest version by testing our online Demo which always runs the latest Limesurvey version.
Username: admin
Password: test
If you can reproduce the problem there please report back.

Hi again,

Updated to latest version and it almost solved the problem. Now I get the error message "You don't have a valid session !" instead. Did I do something wrong when I updated?

The survey runs fine on my test system. I see some HTML error at the template you are using, but those shoudn't cause these session problems.

1. Do other surveys work fine after updating?

2. Check if the folder specified at "session.save_path" in your php.ini exists and is writeable.

You're welcome.

How did you solve it? Was it the session folder?

1. What settings did you previously change to make it partly working?

2. Did you try using a different browser or clear the browser cache?

3. Did you activate the survey?

4. Check if folders /tmp and /uploads and all subfolders are writeable.

Yes

Yes

4. Check if folders /tmp and /uploads and all subfolders are writeable.

It is and /upload/surveyid/files exists.

There is an error message like below when updating the page

Seems like the files can't be placed on the server correctly.

Please upload a phpinfo file so we can take a look at your server configuration. Just put the following code into a file named phpinfo.php and upload it to your webserver:
< ?php phpinfo(); ? >
(Delete the spaces next to </> when copying the code.)
After uploading please post the link to the file.
