CSV Export - no new lines problem

Hello,

I want to parse an exported CSV survey data, but it does not contain new lines entered by the user.

I noticed that if I export a "VV survey file" then there are {cr} and {newline}, but I find the structure of the file hard to parse. I cannot understand how the individual entries are separated.

Do you have any ideas how can parse entered new lines by the user?

Greetings,
Nikolay

So you need a .csv file that contains all line breaks entered by the user?

Yes, I believe this is what he means.

I am in the same boat as ngeorgiev since I wish to see where the new line breaks were inserted. For example, in the 'Huge Free Text' question type, I have users list items on separate lines, and I wish to be able to parse each line separately. As of now, when the CSV is exported, it will jam all of the text in one line with no breaks visible.

I think the line breaks are filtered at export so the only solution I can think of is to edit the source code or get the data from DB manually.

@Mazi, yes - data with line breaks.
@Tony - if you implement a solution, can you please share it? Thank You very much!

Maybe you can add another filter option like "filter linebreaks"?
