repeat column names in array by column

I have a array by column with flexible labels question. I want to repeat the column names every 5 rows or so. I tried using the approach in this thread

www.limesurvey.org/en/forum/5-can-i-do-t...bove-choices-2#46613

but not seem to be working. Basically, I need participants to tell us what brand, from over 160, they used at ages 13-45. The list of brands has pictures that show on hover. If anyone has any suggestions on a better way of asking this question tat would be great.

You can set in the global settings after how many rows the header scale will be repeated.

I have this set for 6 but does not seem to be working for this type of question, works for regular arrays.

I just upgraded to Version 1.90+ Build 9642 and this still does not seem to be working. Bug maybe? It works fine for regular tables but when array by column does not.

Well, as the array by column hast the labelset basically vertical, the labelset would have to repeat also vertically (as a column).

Could you show a screenshot of your question? Maybe we can find a solution.

Well, isn't there missing something on the screenshot? I would like to see how the whole question looks like. This one only shows the subquestions (or is it the labels? should be actually the labels, as you were using the array in columns, shouldn't it?)

And you want basically the numbers to repeat after a certain amount of lines, right?

I am just wondering why you don't use a normal array question? Why do you need to use the array by column approach?

Yes, that is exactly what I want.

I tried using a regular array, but would not do what I wanted so I switched to this approach. I need to be able to select the same brand for multiple ages, across a row. There were too many of the brand names (vertical column) to have as answers, too much horizontal scrolling.

I ended up solving this by using css. I inserted the table heading line as a row and then used CSS to hide the radio buttons.
