Hello,

I would like to connect to LimeSurvey through FTP. I am using FileZilla with the following configuration:

Host: localhost
username: ....
password: ....
port: 8080

But it is not working. I am able to reach LimeSurvey when I enter http://localhost:8080/upload/ in the browser.

What do I have to adjust?

Kind regards,

Baran

To access your local LimeSurvey installation via FTP via FileZilla you will need a running FTP-Server.
If you haven't installed and configured a FTP-server, you cannot connect to one.
The 8080 port is used by a local Webserver.

This is out of scope of this LimeSurvey forum. Installation and Administration of an FTP server.

You don't need FTP to access files on a local machine, but you might want to use FTP.
There are valid cases, which might not apply here. But only the threadstarter knows the reason.

I am trying to find the location where I have to upload the custom question types to. Is there another way to find the location instead of ftp?

If you are on localhost (your local machine), then any file manager should do...
