I am running a cloud instance of LimeSurvey and I am trying to find the upload directory.


Can somebody tell me where I can find the upload directory?

What is meant by cloud instance? LimeSurvey.org hosting offer?

The upload directory of LimeSurvey itself is:

LimeSurvey/upload/

LimeSurvey is the folder, where LimeSurvey is installed (that can be named differently in your installation).

If you're looking for the uploads of a Uploadquestion as part of an survey, you will have to look inside the actual surveyfolder.

LimeSurvey/upload/surveys/000000(replace = with the acutal SurveyID)/files

Not sure what you want to do. You cannot access the uploads directly via webbrowser from the public side. And you don't have direct access to the server (e.g. via FTP or a webbased filemanager) to these folders. What do you want to do?
Since you're a customer, you can directly ask the support of LimeSurvey GmbH as well.

What are you trying to do? It will be easier for us to help you if we understand your problem.
THere is no FTP / SSH access to the disk directories from the SaaS version of LimeSurvey.
So, what is your goal? Is it to display some picture or something like that?

I am following the steps in a manual ( manual.limesurvey.org/New_Template_System_in_LS3.x ) in which it mentions the upload folder. My goal is to figure out how to create custom question types. Might take some time but I'll get there :-)

to create a custom question theme: start on your local computer.

Once you have a question theme working, if you subscribe to one of the package of LSPro, then just ask and we will upload it for you.

In LS4, it will be possible to upload the question theme from the admin interface.
