MSSQL installation was created by josueOrellana
Good Day,
I have the current scenario, I have a web server Debian8 with Apache 2.4.10 and PHP 5.6 and also have in other server a Database Server MSSQL 2016, anyone know how I can install limesurvey in this scenario (have the app in the web server and the database in MSSQL).
Because when I tried to install it the only option available is MySQL, but according to the documentation is possible to install Limesurvey with the database in MSSQL.
Thank you very much in advanced.

Which version/build of LimeSurvey do you try to install? Can you provide a screenshot of the database selection screen?josueOrellana wrote: Because when I tried to install it the only option available is MySQL, but according to the documentation is possible to install Limesurvey with the database in MSSQL.

You should check, if your PHP installation is using the MSSQL database extentions.
php.net/manual/mssql.installation.php
github.com/Microsoft/msphp
You might consult a debian forum for further infos about debian 8 and php pdo mssql
php.net/manual/ref.pdo-dblib.php
When PHP is able to connect to MSSQL database I would expect that the LimeSurvey installer will offer MSSQL beside MySQL.

You were right, now I getting this issue (attached image) I also test from console and everything went as expected, but when I tried from the app I got the error. Is there anything else that I should set up?

Ensure that the connection between the webhost server and the MSSQL server is not blocked.

You may also have to install the FreeTDS driver on your webserver.
