Hello
I am new to Limesurvey.
The install was ok but when I add a question there is no way to change the question type.
It is always on long text.
Thnx for answering

I assume you use version 2.50.
When you add a new question, there is a box to the right that says "General options".
Below that there is a dropdown, when you click it you should see something like this:

Hmmm, the left one does not need to colaps. This is only a preview of how the question will (more or less) look like.
You need to pick the question type in the right part below "long free text".
Could you post a screenshot?

OK, when you click on any of those choises, this should actually select the respective question type.
I just tried on the Limesurvey demo and it works there. Unfortunately it doesn't say what version of Limesurvey the demo is running. I would assume it is the latest built, but I don't know.
As you tried with different browsers AND it is a new install, I guess we can rule out that this is a cache problem. Otherwise I would suggest to empty your cache at this point.
My guess would be that something went wrong with your installation. How did you install Limesurvey? How did you upload the files to your server?
As this version that you are using is the latest and already more than 10 days old, I would also rule out a bug, because this would definitely come up as a bug, because it basically would render Limesurvey useless.
I just updated my test installation of 2.5 to 160620 and it works fine here.

This is a very old version and not a stable one. You should upgrade to 160620 from that version. It should work fine with 160620 as well. Here it does.

This looks like not all files are uploaded correctly or the permissions are wrong.
I ask again: How do you upload the files? FTP Programms like Filezilla, etc. regularily skip certain files. Have a look on the server if the number of files is the same as in the limesurvey folder on your computer.
But first of all: empty your cache just to avoid any additional work in case it is just a caching problem.
Why did you not upgrade from the 2.5RC7 Build 160122? Probably would have reduced the chance of problems.

Hi
I uploaded the files with filezilla and made a complete new install.
I cleaned up the database and changed all folder rights.
/limesurvey/tmp
/limesurvey/upload/
/limesurvey/application/config/
I also made the cash empty.
