Hi community,
I have a Limesurvey server Version 2.06+ Build 160129 perfectly running from our internal network, say internal.survey.net/
I've been asked to make it accessible from the outside.
Our IT department uses some kind of proxy that rewrites any URL to something like
Code:
https://external.mycompany.com/survey/
So
Code:
http://internal.survey.net/admin/
is translated into
Code:
https://external.mycompany.com/survey/admin/
The limesurvey site is accessible, I can login, but any modification leads to being prompted again for the logging in.
When done, I have access to the modification (group/question) but any page transition is subject to re-authentication.

Any idea where it could come from ?
Thanks

Sorry, but seriously, i'll give my opinion here.

You use a Free like a speech tool, and free like a bier .
You have an IT department on your company: these people work and are pay to for your IT
You are a company, then you use LimeSurvey for your company

And you ask on the community forum for help ? Where user don't earn money and don't know exactly your installation .....

Assistance on LimeSurvey forum and LimeSurvey core development are on my free time.
I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH member, professional service on demand , plugin development .

Yes, we do have an IT department, and yes, I'm asking for help on the community.
Our organisation is a non profit organisation dedicated to air traffic safety over Europe. Being a public organisation does not prevent you from having an IT department.
I asked the question here having our it guys working aside.
If this issue has already been met and resolved, why not share it ?
And by the way, we have a budget line for participating in Open source/free software.

This sounds clearly like a networking problem on your side.

It is almost impossible to give any advice without knowing your internal setup, how the proxy and redirect are setup, etc.

I think the go to guy is your network administrador who is setting up those forwards.

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.
