Survey permission problem? was created by blange
I have a problem concerning survey permissions in different versions of limesurvey (2.06+, 2.50+).
To my understanding a user owning a survey should have the opportunity to add other users to a survey with different rights on the survey. But in my systems there is no way for a non-superuser to select any other users or user groups in the the servey permissions dialog. Both selection lists are always empty. Only the superadmin can modify the survey permissions. Additionally no user is shown on the survey permissions screen, even if the superuser has added other users to the survey permissions.

Is this behaviour correct or wrong?

Thanks in advance for all given replies.

The survey owner needs to have the global "Permission to create, view, update and delete users" set.

@tpartner: Thanks for your replay. But unfortunately your hint wasn't the solution to my problem.

But starting from that point I figured out that there are two different ways to solve the problem:
  1. Change the global security settings:
Global Settings - Security - Group member can only see own group -> No
  2. or
  3. Create a usergroup containing the user who is the owner of the survey and the users he is allowed to give access to.
Finally I decided to use option 2 and it works fine for me.

I have no problem with being wrong as long as it led you to a solution. :)
