"no answer" option remains even if I choose "do not show no answer" was created by ledoux
Hello
I'm using lime 2.50+ (I recently hosted LS on OVH).
I selected "do not show no answer option" in the questionnaire menu ("presentation and navigation"), but the response modality "no answer" appears despite everything for compulsory questions.
It looks like a bug. Does someone have an answer?
thank you very much !!

Hi,
Yes : seems to be a bug, maybe you must report if you use the last last version.

Thanks Denis
How can I report? Who to?
The problem is that I need the questionnaire to be ready next monday...it is really an issue because the problem concerns mandatory questions, for which I NEED an aswer, I can not let the respondent response "no asnwer" (to screen out wrong respondents at the very beginning of the questionnaire).
Thank you !

Hi,
www.limesurvey.org/community-services/bug-tracker
For speed .... : earn a dev, or you have an option in the bug tracker.
Alternative : replace 2.50 by 2.06lts (you can donwload it by github)

You do mean that I have to report the bug on bug tracker. But then how may I ask for help? when you say "earn a dev" means ask a developer to solve the problem, that's it?
Waou... bad situation then considering the hurry I'm in...

The real problem is that LS 2.5 is labeled stable, which it is NOT.
Which LS 2.5 build is used?

Version 2.50+ Build 160218 ...
Should I replace 2.50 by 2.06lts ? My problem is that my models (layout) are designed on 2.50, I would have to change a lot of things, and I don't have time for this....I need to find a solution with 2.50+.. May you help me ?

But when I use any LS version for reallife projects, I don't update LS while developing and conducting the survey. I always use 2-3 installations to test every little LS update.
Posting here won't help you to get your survey running on Monday. Post the bug to the bugtracker will raise the chance that the bug might get fixed on Monday. A new release might be available on Monday or Thuesday.

I don't use LS 2.5 in any productive way. In 2.5 you can only try the newest update. That might fixes bug. That may add bugs.le_doux wrote: I need to find a solution with 2.50+.. May you help me ?

First of all, you should test if this still is a problem in the latest version of 2.5, because there are almost daily updates and there is a good chance that problems that exist in a more than one month old version of LS 2.5.
If the problem persists in the latest version which should be 160401, then it is worth to report it as a bug.

Just tested a mandatory question with my installation of LS 2.5 v160401 and when I create a mandatory question, no "no answer" appears.
In global settings --> presentation I have set "Show 'no answer' option for non-mandatory questions:" to "survey admin can choose".
In the survey settings "Show "No answer" was actually set to yes, but "no answer" did not show, but in this case it should. Switching to no makes no difference. So it seems that your problem is solved in the newer version, but actually we have a new problem.
