The export to Excel the column/field names should include any special chaacters, which ok for Excel, but the Excel file is the imprt to Access, they aren't valid field names and get converted to a generic 'Fieldn' name.

Thanks

Hello,

sorry, I don't understand your idea or problem. Can you explain it again and give an example what is wrong or what should be done?

Attached is an Export to Excel with abbreviated headings and convert spaces to underscore. MS Access and most apps don't usually accept special char as fields names. Thus, choosing first row as field names has that condition. []../\ and others aren't acceptable field name chars.

This isn't uncommon, I've other exporting apps that present the same challenge.

Thanks and Hopefully I've sxplained better.

Hello,
It's an excel export, not an access export ;).

You can : change the header title in excel before inporting in acces. Use question code and not question ext when exporting.

Thanks, but the attached file with questions codes has the same result. And why would I want to edit 27 colums each time I want to export and process results??

Thanks, again

The Excel export was never designer to be imported at MS Access, so I don't consider this a bug because it works fine at Excel.
