I have a survey and when at the end of the survey you click "submit" the browser hangs.

Here are the facts.
- This survey worked fine on another server.
- Another survey on the same server works fine.
- Limesurvey version 1.90+ Build 9642
- Apache/2.2.3
- php-5.1.6-3
- mysql-server-5.0.22-2.1

The survey link: www.creatinghealthypeople.com/surveys/in...hp?sid=44669&lang=en
- Answer no at the participation question which will get you to the end of the survey.
- I expect the end message to appear, but it does not

Thanks for any help you can provide. I can upload the survey if required.

Is there anything in the field "End URL:" on the general settings?

I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH member. I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time. No support via private message.

Yes, I had a link to a local thank you page but for troubleshooting I changed it to google. Below is a cut and paste from the survey setting.

What happens if you take the end url out?

Does the other survey on this server (the one that is running just fine) have a end url?

I took out the end url and url description and the problem remains.

The other survey has an end url and url description.

Thank you for trying to help.

1. By "take out the end URL" do you mean you also disabled the "auto load end URL" feature?

2. Do you use any Javascript at the last page(s)?

3. Can you attach your survey for testing?

I did not disable the end URL feature. I will look up how to do this and re-test.

I did have a Javascript redirect on one of the last pages but have taken this out for troubleshooting.

I have attached the survey.

I plan on using tokens. There are some conditions which use token fields in the condition. It was not working with tokens enabled. Tokens is currently disabled. Perhaps this could cause other problems because some question conditions use an additional attribute. However, the problem was present with tokens enabled and the additional attribute in the token table.
Last Edit: 5 years 11 months ago by jeepdc1. Reason: trying to attach file-what's wrong with me?

The file will not attach. The error states it is too large. The file is only 354K. Any suggestions?

The "Automatically load URL when survey complete?" setting under Presentation and Navigation is set to "No".

I've put the limesurvey file on ftp://creatinghealthypeople.com/ . Traverse to the pub directory and the file is there.

When NOT using the end URL feature AND having removed any javascript, the submit should work fine.
Please switch on debug mode by adding the following line to your config.php file:
$debug = '1';

Are there any additional errors reported on top of the page when pressing the submit button?

Also check your servers error log, is there anything unusual? The error code (probably 500) might be interesting as well.

I've had the debug set to 1 for a while but no additional errors are reported at the top of the page.

I'm reviewing the logs now but I'm not seeing anything.

I also notice the same issue exists sometimes when using the "Execute this survey" link from the admin page (admin.php).

Thank you.

I never did figure out this problem. I switched to another VPS and everything is running fine.

These server configuration problems are always hard to track. There are several PHP extensions like suhosin or mod_security which might cause problems.
