Hi, GLopez,
please explain a bit more detailled what "doesn't work".

IMHO you take a photo with your phone.
This photo is saved in some folder on your phone.
Then you switch to the LS survey where you want to upload the photo.

So, what is the problem exactly?

Best regards
Joffm

The solution to this problem is: buy an android phone.
stackoverflow.com/questions/3891831/a-ht...-from-the-photos-app

Apple want to control all the data flow between their phones and the cloud, and it seems you want to be controlled by apple.

Also, it seems that since iOS6, in Safari, things are a little bit better.

The camera gets blocked and black, I can't take the photo. That's the problem exactly.

well... the solution I suggested should still solve that problem :P

more seriously: it's hard to answer you without context.
What are you trying to do exactly? You're passing a survey with an upload file question, right?

Thanks LouisGac :)

On Android device works perfectly, the same on iPhone 6. I'm trying to upload a photo from the camera, It's an upload file type question.

well, like I said in my first answer, it seems that you're facing the typical problems of iOS < 6. "Normally" you should still be able to take a live picture with the upload question, but with apple, nothing is normal. It's clearly a problem related to the iPhone configuration, not to limesurvey.

ok, so here my bet: it's a problem with the iFrame (I don't know why we're using iFrame for that question type... we should make it 100% ajax IMHO).

Typical iFrame problems on safari iOS:
stackoverflow.com/questions/36820478/how...operly-in-ios-safari

If it's the case, it could be pretty easy to fix.

So please, open a bug report:
bugs.limesurvey.org

Please, mention:
- iOS 6 (else the dev who will take the bug will just think it's the usual iOS < 6 upload problem )
- Safari and only safari (works on Chrome)
- Tell that other uploaders works fine with this very same browser (like this one: fineuploader.com/demos.html )
- Provide a link to that thread in the forum

Before there is some unnecessary work going on:

On Android device works perfectly, the same on iPhone 6.

I understood this line as: works perfectly for Android and iPhone 6.

So if for iOS < 6 this can not be fixed, I don't see why there should be any further development.

Maybe I am getting this all wrong.

Not sure if "Buy a android mobile phone" is the best way to start a conversation.

holch wrote: So if for iOS < 6 this can not be fixed, I don't see why there should be any further development.

The confusion started when OS version and iphone model number got mixed up.

To analyze the root cause, we need a few more infos:

1. Limesurvey version/build where the survey is running. Template.
2. Differences between iPhone 5s and iPhone 6. What is the exact iOS version running. Both seem to be on iOS 10 (so forget about iOS 6!). But which exact build?
3. Since only the safari browser app is causing trouble it is fair to assume that the version/build used on both iphones is not exactly the same. Safari is a beast (e.g it recognized the orientation meta data inside images so that pictures got displayed rotated 90° on websites. No other browser did that.). There is also a chance that certain extensions or the parental control is somewhere involved. Not very high, but different phone mean is a chance of different settings somewhere.

Not so sure about the iframe bug ( bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149264 ).
The issue was described as

The camera gets blocked and black, I can't take the photo.

The direct connection between a blocked camera and Safari flattening all iframes is not clear to me.
So the issue is not the upload of an existing file but the execution of the cam app from safari.

GLopez should elaborate on what exactly worked with the demos.
