apologies if this is the wrong forum group to ask this.

I have concerns about the frequency of stable release updates that i get notifications on when i log into my instance of lime survey. it feels as if there are releases every few days if not every week, and it makes me feel like there is a huge administrative workload to have to keep updating my instance.

is there a set schedule of releases or is it just as changes get committed to the master branch a 'stable' build is pushed out?

I am not aware of a schedule. Mostly it depends on the kind and volume of fixed bugs. But you should email the Limesurvey GmbH directly or open a bugticket with your question. The forum is not the easiest place to get in touch with the maintainers of the code.

Well, someone came up with the new motto "release early, release often". Not sure if this is a good idea for a software that is often critical for business, but that is what the new philosophy is.

I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH member. I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time. No support via private message.
