Hi all!

I am working with 2.05rc1 (latest development release), on a GNU/Linux server, and I have an issue with exporting results in Excel or CSV format (SPSS is OK).

Firefox says

Firefox can't find the file at 'http://myserver/index.php/admin/export/sa/exportresults/surveyid/[surveyid]'

Chromium says something like "Page not found". I found some similar issues, but with previous versions (1.92), but no solution worked for me: I tried to re-install, to make some directories publicly writable (777), without change. I don't know where these files are stored before downloading (but SPSS .sps and .dat files are perfecty working).

Any hint? Thanks!
U.

I can add that exporting PDF files or even Excel statistics is OK. Only data exports don't work with me.

Try activating debug mode in /application/config/config.php. Usually the only dir writable shoudl be /limesurvey/tmp and its subdirs.

It doesn't change anything: the displayed error message seems to come from the browser (file not found). My /tmp directory is writable, and again, other files are OK to be downloaded.

Am I the only one to have problems downloading data in Excel or CSV? Mmh... I'll try to have a look in the logs.

Thanks!
U.

Can't find anything strange in the logs:
greg@ssh:~$ cat admin/log/error.log | grep survey
greg@ssh:~$

There are a lot of things in access.log, though. Weired. Anyway, I can export in SPSS, and then convert to Excel, so this is not critical for me.

Just for the record, where are the temporary data files stored while they are exported? Directly in /tmp? Or a subdir?

Thanks!
U.
