Simple Number range validation

Hello,

I am trying to do a simple range validation for a "numerical input" question. The question will ask:

"What is your weight?" and the range should be between 70 and 500. Thank you so much for any help! :)

In the advanced settings you can set a minimum and a maximum value. This should do the trick. or you could go for the slider version of multiple numerical inputs (just use only one subquestion), then the limits are more obvious.

Hi Holch,

Thank you for your prompt response! Unfortunately, I don't think the slider option will be an option for my survey. I'm afraid that having three different slides to enter the weight will be too confusing.

It would be great if someone could provide me with a validation equation that I could enter into the "validation" section of the numerical input advance settings. Thank you!

OK, seems like you have an older version of LS, because my advanced settings for numerical input gives a max/min value.

I am not a regex specialist but I will think about it.

Here a few examples. Maybe you can work on topo of this: docs.limesurvey.org/Using+regular+expres...y#Example:_Age_20-99

What I didn't get was why you would need 3 different slides to put the weight?

Hi Holch,

Thank you so much for both answers. You are right, I am not sure what I was thinking with the 3 sliders. I actually really like the idea of using the slider instead of having the users type an answer. Thank you so much! B)
