Problems importing tab delimited text files

I am trying to export and then reimport a survey with lots of added questions. I have exported the survey to a txt file, opened it in Excel, added my survey questions and saved it again as a tab delimited text file (UTF-16 Unicode). When I import the survey back into lime survey the import appears to be successful (the report screen contains some information). However, the survey does not appear. I notice that if I simply export and then re-import it works fine.

I attach the file. The results of the import are as follows:

Surveys: 1
Languages: 1
Question groups: 1
Questions: 7
Question attributes: 7
Answers: 0
Subquestions: 0
Default answers: 7
Assessments: 0
quotas: 0 (0 quota members and 0 quota language settings

You've found a bug , which I reported on your behalf. It works fine in 1.92, but behaves exactly as you describe in 2.0

When I run the database consistency check, it appears that LS never creates the needed entry in the surveys table. There are rows for questions and attributes, but there is no matching surveyid.

Thank you.

for the benefit of anyone else who has the same problem, here is a workaround.

In the bug discussion c_schmitz says "Datecreated field in the TSV contains an invalid date format". Just open the file in a text editor, search for "datecreated" and reformat the date to the form YYYY-MM-DD (mine was in the form DD/MM/YYYY).

I've now got my survey imported. Fingers crossed it's good to go.

It's a pleasure to be able to import from a spreadsheet like this.
