I would need some advice for intermediary backups of the database in Limesurvey.

I am still collecting the data so the database is not complete yet.
I export the database in excel frequently in order to secure the data, but I would like to make a back up in Limesurvey in order to retrieve it in case something bad happens.

Thank you for your advice!

What do you mean with "I would like to make a backup in Limesurvey"?

You can make a backup of your entire Limesurvey-Database. You can do this either in a database tool like PHPmyAdmin or directly in Limesurvey.

It is on the highest navigation level "Backup entire database".

The easiest solution would be to code a small cron job script which is run daily or even hourly and exports the DB into a certain folder or sends it by email.

A cron job script to automatically create database backups for Limesurvey is available at the Limesurvey Template Shop : " Automatically create database backups "
