I am new in using Limesurvey. and ive experiencing a problem about creating a new template. been reading the other's question as well. the only solution is to create a upload folder and change permission to 777.

Though my real problem is, i do not know where to change those.
i tried to create the 'upload' folder in phpmyadmin then change its use from '1' to '777' this didnt help too.

BTW more info about this project:
1. I am not the one who had installed limesurvey or set it up.
2. the only access i was given is being the admin of the limesurvey account and the phpmyadmin account.
3. There is no FTP account/client given to me.
4. whenever i tried to copy an existing template, it always says:
'unable to create directory 'copy_mint_idea'. please check directory permissions.'

Thanks! cheerio!

Hope to hear from you soon!

phpmyadmin does changes to the database, but we are talking about the template FOLDER which is a totally different topic.
You have to contact your admin to get FTP access to the folders where your Limesurvey system was installed. Then you can use your FTP program to change the file permissions of the /tmp and /upload folders (and all subfolders). Or simply ask your admin to do so.

I prefer "filezilla", it's free: filezilla-project.org/
