Customizing Public Registration Page

Hi everyone,

I've been using Limesurvey for my survey development and had a question for you all. I am using the public registration feature and instead of First Name, Last Name, and Email Address as the input fields for the registration page, I only want Email Address and do not want First Name and Last Name. Is there any way to deactivate these two fields? Also, is there any way to add a custom field onto the registration page instead of First Name and Last Name?

I can provide more details or clarify if need be. I would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks a lot!

1. These three fields are mandatory because the standard email templates uses "Hello <firstname> <lastname>" and of course the email address.
The only solution I can think of is to hide these fields using some CSS at the template.css of your survey and use some Javascript to populate the fields with some dummy data.

2. At the upcoming 2.0 version additional token attributes can be used as well when registering.

I need to add a field to the registration as well. Is there an ETA for version 2.0?

I believe it'll be in beta sometime in April.
