Hello all!
I just installed LimeSurvey and created my 1st survey - looks like an awesome tool!

I want to create my own template in order to more closely match the look and feel of an existing website, but when in the Template editor, I can not copy an existing template in order to edit it. I receive the following error:

Warning: mkdir() [function.mkdir]: Permission denied in /survey/admin/templates.php on line 1182

I applied chmod 777 to the /templates/ folder, but this did not help.

Please advise... Thanks!

Figured out my problem.
Needed to chmod both /upload/ and /templates/ to 777.

chmod 777 means you give full file permissions to owner, group, and public. So each has permission to read, write and execute. This would also be done recursively so each file/folder under upload and templates has these permissions.

If you use an ftp client like FileZilla and you right click on a folder under your hosting, there will be a context menu item called "File Permissions", alternatively your hosting control panel may have a file manager which can do the same thing.
