Missing First & Last Name from Survey Result

Hi All,

I am a little stumped. I have just set up a new survey based on an existing survey (as near to identically as I can make them). The first survey correctly records the respondent's first & last name in the responses table. For the new survey, I cannot for the life of me get their name to appear in the results table.

I am not using tokens for either survey.

Here are my survey settings;
This survey is NOT anonymous.
It is presented group by group.
Responses will be date stamped
Participants can save partially finished surveys
Detailed email notification with result codes

I have verified with Firebug that the name details are being sent to the server for both the new and old surveys.

I am hoping that I might be missing something very simple.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers,

James

I should add that I am running Limesurvey Version 1.80+ (6579) on a shared host.

I'm afraid I don't understand. How are the respondents entering their names? Do you mean that you have two text input questions that are not being recorded?

Hi,

I'm sorry that my question wasn't clear.

The first page of the survey asks the respondent for their first name and last name (see this screenshot - Survey Screen Shot (jpg) .

The user then clicks next and completes the actual survey. I have taken a second screenshot of the results page from the administration screen here - Admin Survey Results (jpg) . You can see that the first name & last name fields are blank, where as all the other fields have been successfully recorded.

I am very new to Lime Survey, but presumed that the 'first name' and 'last name' fields where a part of the core lime survey functionality.

I hope this explanation is clearer. If anyone has some pointers on how troubleshoot this, I would be greatly appreciative.

Cheers,

James

What happens when you use the default template?
