Table layout help.

First post here and I am hoping someone can help me.

I am using LimeSurvey version 1.90+ build 9160 and have an issue with the way cells are distributed across a table.

I do not have a vast understanding of LimeSurvey as it is something I have just taken over and the custom template we are using was built way back on version 1.0. I will be rebuilding it once I have this survey out of the way.

I have multiple questions using the array question type where question is down the left and radio buttons are answers.

I have attached a picture of what is happening to help.

As you can see the last column is tiny compared to the rest and I cannot find anything in the template.css that could be causing this.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Phil

Hi Phil,

It is basically impossible to give feedback on a custom template without having access to it, especially as it comes from a very old version. There have been some changes to the templates in one of the the latest versions of Limesurvey anyway.

Well, ideally we would have access to the survey, because the problem might not only be related to the custom template, but I assume you can't provide access to it.

I might have a look at this issue later. But I will have to import your template and create a little survey for testing purposes, so not sure if I will have time for this.

Had a quick look at it anyway.

Same problem here.

I think it is because of the hard coded percentages for the columns.

I am not sure, but it seems that it gives 20% to each of the columns. That seems to be OK at the first place, for 5 answer options. But I think the 20% are referring to the whole table, and there you have 6 columns (1 for the subquestions, 5 for the answer options).

Have a look at that. I think this isn't hard coded in the newer templates, but CSS.

Better rebuild the template right now based on one of the shipped templates than trying to fix each problem (I'm sure there are more to show up) manually.

If you can provide a link to the survey we might try to help bus as said before, giving help for customized/edited templates is not easy.
