Dear Lime experts,

I am looking for a workaround to have a dropdown scale as one scale and numerical input as another in the dual array scale (example attached). I have been searching the forum but could find some solutions suggesting the use of the code to merge a basic array and multiple numerical input questions. However, this would prevent the display of heading for each scale which is only possible with the dual array.

Hm,
you talk about drop-down, but I do not see a drop-down.

But here two examples (don't care about the wording)

Did you think of something like that?

Dear Joffm,

Thanks for the examples. Radio buttons is also fine. However, the radio buttons need to have one heading as they belong to one scale and the numerical input is a different scale.

Hi,

Here is an example for more than one header.

www.limesurvey.org/forum/can-i-do-this-w...ngs-with-subheadings

and the textbox at the end of an array

You may try to combine them.

Joffm

P.S.
In my opinion a solution with two drop-downs is better; remember, in both questions there are dicrete values.

Thanks joffm for your kind help. The first link you shared seems to be a bit helpful but am unsure if this could be used when we merge a basic array with the multiple numerical input. Also, can you please direct me to the code to merge basic array with a multiple numerical input.

But I still preferred this:

But up to you.

By the way, there was a discussion about width of columns in an array
Maybe it's useful.

Thanks Joffm. Two dropdowns for 30 items would make it difficult for the respondents.
I will try doing the workarounds you suggested.

Sorry to learn that you didn't understand my question. However, I got my question answered by Joffm who seem to have got it. BTW, I do not have any clue of what you are asking here. I am interested in seeing if anyone else gets it. Good luck with your query.
