question type combination was created by User1008
Hi Community,

I would like to combine a drop-down question with a matrix question - How can I do this?
To be more precise:

I would like to display different departments 1, 2, 3, 4....25, containing matrices when unfold.
Clicking on one department should unfold a matrix with several employees and 3 different options (e.g. frequency of interaction "weekly", "monthly", "less frequent") for each employee.

The employees are arranged in a matrix, so that for each employee one of 3 options can be ticked.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Regards

I don't see what combination is required here.

It seems to me that all you need is:

1) A multiple-choice question to select departments

2) Array questions for each department, conditionally shown via relevance based on the multiple-choice

I assume that each respondent only selects one department. (because you say "dropdown question")

Here you can have two questions, the dropdown and the matrix in one group.

In the matrix you can display the employees by subquestion relevance.

and after selecting a department:

If you want to select multiple departments, use a multiple question and create the matrices for each department.
With question relevance display the matrices of the selected departments.

BTW: Which version of LS do you use?

Thank you both!
In fact they select employees from multiple departments, so I'll try if it works.
We're running an oldschool version 2.5 :/
