Split backend and frontend in CSS - best way? was created by mad99
Hi,
I have a problem with a button «remove video» in the customer-view from a survey.
Does anybody has the best way «.class» or «#id» to define CSS only for backend or in this particular situation to «hide» the button with CSS in customer survey?
Found the body.className in backend matched with theme. But this would be different dependent from the project or does not work anymore if I change the theme.
- Is there something more general class or id? Like «.ls-backend» in in an as high as possible HTML-element in backend or frontend?
Can't find topic about in forum or google...
But is hard to come up with the right term.
Any help or push in the right direction is very welcome.

front end css are in theme : custom.css are easily updatable if you extend core theme.

Hey DenisChenu,
thank you for help.
So custom.css will only have effect in the customer-survey view?
No influence in Backend- Right?
Great!

The theme of the survey and the themes of the administration are totally separated. Changing your survey theme does not change the backend at all. Only one point where there is a little bit of overlap in my opinion is that the survey theme that is set to default influences the design of the survey list page (index of your installation). In my opinion, this page actually should belong to the admin theme, not to the default survey theme. But this is a historical thing.
