I'm actually not sure why the default direction for the vertical slider is top to bottom. My personal feeling is that if you raise a vertical slider control, you should be raising the value, not the opposite.

In my view normally the highest value should be on top and the lowest at the bottom, when you have ordinal or scale values.

There could be exceptions to this. I would say that you could possibly solve that using an extra class on the question (reverse or reverse-scale) and use that class to do some magic in css/javascript of your template.

Be aware: this is not available in the current templates as far as I know, but it would certainly be a good idea for new/custom templates.

I am looking for several of these examples, which can be solved with the extra class possibility in 2.5x and up.

As I suggested, it would be better to do it on slider initialization rather than by detecting a class after the fact.

@tpartner: that would mean that when you want to do it with javascript, it would actually mean rotating the slider counterclockwise, which (I guess) is more difficult than rotating it clockwise.

Ah well, nothing seems difficult for you...

No, it's an available slider option that can either be used on initialization or later (as I did with my workaround) - github.com/seiyria/bootstrap-slider .

All I'm saying is that in would be preferable to set the direction on initialization and re-position the text elements at the same time.
